Modtrim One-Year Limited Warranty

Effective date: January 15, 2026

Warranty Coverage

Modtrim warrants its products to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the date of delivery when used under normal residential conditions.

This limited warranty applies only to products purchased directly from Modtrim and is not transferable.

Making a Warranty Claim

To submit a claim, contact support@modtrim.com during the warranty period and provide:

  • Your name and order number;
  • A description of the issue;
  • Clear photographs or video showing the affected product and defect; and
  • Any additional information reasonably requested by Modtrim to evaluate the claim.

Please do not repair, alter, discard, or return the affected product or component unless Modtrim provides written instructions.

Warranty Remedies

After evaluating and approving a covered claim, Modtrim may, as appropriate:

  • Repair the affected product;
  • Provide replacement parts;
  • Replace the affected component or product; or
  • Provide another remedy required under applicable law.

Modtrim will determine the appropriate remedy based on the nature and extent of the covered defect. Modtrim will cover the cost of an approved repair or replacement component and reasonable standard shipping associated with the approved remedy.

Unless Modtrim agrees otherwise in writing or applicable law requires otherwise, this warranty does not cover removal, reinstallation, assembly, installation, or third-party labor costs.

A replacement part, component, or product remains covered for the remainder of the original one-year warranty period.

Warranty Exclusions

This limited warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear;
  • Accidental damage, misuse, abuse, or neglect;
  • Improper installation, assembly, handling, storage, maintenance, or use;
  • Installation that does not follow Modtrim’s instructions or applicable requirements;
  • Unauthorized alterations, modifications, refinishing, or repairs;
  • Damage caused by excessive moisture, humidity, dryness, heat, direct sunlight, water exposure, or other environmental conditions;
  • Damage caused by improper cleaning products, chemicals, or cleaning methods;
  • Natural variations in wood, veneer, grain, texture, pattern, or color;
  • Minor color differences caused by lighting, photography, display settings, aging, or differences between samples and finished materials;
  • Cosmetic or delivery-related damage not reported within 48 hours of delivery;
  • Damage occurring during transportation, relocation, or storage after the original delivery; or
  • Commercial, rental, institutional, or other nonresidential use.

Delivery Damage

Visible or concealed delivery damage, missing components, and incorrect products must be reported to support@modtrim.com within 48 hours of delivery and are handled under our Return & Refund Policy.

Legal Rights

This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights that vary by state. Nothing in this warranty excludes or limits any warranty, remedy, or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
